Robbie Burns can be found on Saturday afternoons from 2pm - 6pm with a great mix of music, local information, news, weather and more.
It took some doing, but having chased Robbie around the building for a good 20 minutes, we finally got him to answer some questions about himself - here's what he said:
Age (Ladies need not answer 😊): 27 going on 60
Who was your first kiss with? My first girlfriend when I was in secondary school... aww.
What's your favourite food? Has to be a Chicken Balti from the Indian takeaway. 10/10. Otherwise, probably a burger fresh off the BBQ. [Boss: Ooooh, I'm a fan!]
Where is your favourite place in the world? Yorkshire, obviously! It's the best place in the world. [Boss: Correct answer]
What were you like as a child? Gobby! I even obtained the nickname 'Gobby Robbie'. [Boss: He still IS!]
Have you had any nicknames? Rob, Roberto, Nobbly-Bobbly (don't ask!)... oh, and 'Gobby Robbie'.
If you weren't a Radio Presenter, what would you be doing now? Probably working in IT or marketing.
Best childhood memory? Singing on stage as a kid, particularly the gig in the Grand Opera House in York. Loved it.
What was your very first concert? (Bonus points for embarrassing ones) Nickelback in Manchester. [Boss: Nowt embarrassing about that]
If you could be any fictional character, who would it be and why? David Brent from The Office. I'm joking. No, seriously, I'm joking!
What’s your go-to karaoke song? The Moody Blues - Nights in White Satin. Incredible song. [Boss: Top choice]
What is the most unusual job you’ve ever had? Washing cars when I was a kid and making a pretty tidy profit.
What’s your go-to strategy for handling unread emails? Read them all, delete the ones you don't need, and always make sure you're not that person who has 15,000 unread emails. Ugh. [Boss: Wanna sort through MY emails?]
What was the first album/CD you ever bought? I think it was a Now album in the 2000s. I've still got it somewhere. I couldn't tell you all the songs and artists, but I know it's got McFly on it.
What is your all-time favourite song to play on the air? Del Amitri - Roll To Me (if you know, you know!). Seriously though, Oasis - Live Forever. [Boss: Backtiming rocks! :-)]
If you could interview anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and why? John Lennon.
What song is currently on repeat in your head? Oasis - Live Forever. Still an anthem.
