Environmental campaigners have issued a fresh rallying cry today, pushing to hit financial milestones for a rare red squirrel sanctuary near Hawes

The Woodland Trust’s urgent fundraising drive to secure 348 acres of land in the Snaizeholme Valley near Hawes has entered a critical phase. The conservation charity is racing against a tight deadline to raise the millions needed to permanently acquire the site, protect native red squirrel habitats, and restore sensitive upland peatlands.
