North Yorkshire Police have launched a high-priority investigation following a traumatic attack that occurred on Boundary Avenue in Sutton-in-Craven just before seven o'clock on Sunday morning. A local woman was suddenly set upon outside a property by three masked men who used physical violence to overpower her before fleeing with high-value jewellery. The suspects left the scene at high speed in an unidentified vehicle travelling towards Holme Lane. Detective Constable Rachael Mercer confirmed the victim sustained minor physical injuries but has been left deeply traumatised by the event. Officers are actively conducting house-to-house inquiries and are demanding that anyone who witnessed suspicious vehicular movements or who has active security footage submit it immediately to help track the suspects.
