Volunteers and organisers are celebrating an incredibly successful first week as the award-winning 2026 Swaledale Festival hit its midpoint yesterday evening. Packed audiences gathered at historic venues—including Grinton Church and Reeth Memorial Hall—for a series of world-class classical, folk, and jazz performances. Tourism bosses say the influx of festival-goers, combined with the excellent weather, has provided a massive, much-needed financial boost to independent Dales hotels, guest houses, and pubs.
