Heritage operators have unveiled plans for a major anniversary event, confirming that fully restored mainline steam locomotives will depart directly from Skipton Station to celebrate 150 years of the Settle-Carlisle line. Tickets are expected to sell out immediately for what rail historians are calling a phenomenal tribute to the fells' transport heritage.
