Duty logs published by North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service today confirm that both Skipton appliance crews responded overnight to an industrial property after heavy machinery began producing thick smoke inside a processing building.
Firefighters used thermal imaging equipment to locate the overheating internal components, isolating the power supply and ventilation controls to prevent a major structural fire from breaking out.
Crews ventilated the building and handed safety controls back to site managers early this morning, confirming no injuries were sustained.
