The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority has implemented a temporary closure order on Footpath Number 6 in Appletreewick, effective from today, October 5th, through April 2027.
The order is required on public safety grounds to allow structural repair works to be carried out on the cottage and attached barn at Simon's Seat Farm.
A 3.5-kilometre alternative diversion route has been signed, guiding walkers through nearby footpaths and Skyreholme Lane.
