The SELFA Youth Action group kicked off its summer initiative this morning, bringing together teenagers aged 11 to 16 to tackle local environmental issues across Skipton.
Participants are working alongside local council officers to plan community clean-ups, map wildlife corridors along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, and build bug hotels in public parks.
Charity coordinators emphasised that the project aims to give young people an active voice in shaping their local environment while developing practical leadership skills during the summer break.
