The Black Bull Inn in Sedbergh has been named a county finalist in the National Pub and Bar Awards 2026. The inn, which has become a focal point for hikers on the Dales Way, was praised for its focus on hyper-local ingredients—specifically its use of Howgill fells beef and wild garlic foraged from the Rawthey valley. The national winners will be announced in London in June, but for now, the team is celebrating putting Sedbergh on the UK’s culinary map.
