North Yorkshire Council has formally launched the delivery phase of its upgraded waste and recycling collection infrastructure across the former Richmondshire district starting today.
Under the new scheme, households will receive dedicated wheelie bins to separate paper and card from glass, cans, and plastics. The initiative aims to improve recycling rates and streamline waste processing across rural market towns and outlying farms.
Council officers confirmed that information packs detailing new collection calendars and bin delivery schedules are being posted to residents across Wensleydale and Swaledale throughout the week.
