A major rescue operation was launched at Aysgarth Falls following reports of an individual slipping and falling onto the rocks. Emergency services, including specialised water rescue teams, were scrambled to the scene. The casualty fell into a lower-level section of water beneath the waterfalls and became pinned against the rocky riverbed. Rescue teams worked dynamically in the low-level water to stabilise the individual, safely extricate them from the rocks, and transport them up the steep banks to an awaiting ambulance.
