Thanks to a massive public donation drive, the Muker Community Observatory has upgraded its telescope. The new kit, which is far more sensitive, allows amateur astronomers to see deep-space objects previously invisible from the valley floor. The group is hosting "Stargazing Saturdays" throughout the summer to share these views with visitors.
