Volunteer path maintenance crews and National Park rangers finalised structural repairs along the popular Settle Millennium Riverside Walk earlier today.
Work teams replaced worn timber decking on pedestrian footbridges, installed fresh stone chippings along muddy trail sections, and cleared overgrown riverbank vegetation to ensure safe access for families and dogs.
Local tourism coordinators noted that keeping low-level river routes well-maintained helps disperse visitor traffic during busy summer weekends, easing pressure on high-altitude fell paths.
