An intensive multi-day celebration event has successfully wrapped up, bringing together dedicated Community Champions from the Yorkshire Dales, Peak District, and North York Moors National Parks. The summit celebrated the historic results of the Championing National Parks for Everyone initiative, which has successfully introduced over one thousand three hundred people from ethnically and culturally diverse urban communities to the protected landscapes on their doorstep. The project has dramatically improved employment pathways in the outdoor sector, with visitor data showing a phenomenal ninety-five percent confidence rate among first-time walkers planning to return to the fells.
