North Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Group deployed mobile speed enforcement units along key stretches of the A684 between Leyburn and Bedale this morning.
The operation follows concerns raised by parish councils regarding high vehicle speeds and aggressive overtaking near village entrances during busy summer traffic periods.
Officers emphasised that high-visibility patrols will continue throughout the summer holiday season to protect pedestrians, farm vehicles, and local motorists.
