The region's agricultural and manufacturing sectors are reeling following the sudden collapse of Holmesterne Farm Co. Limited, known widely as Holmesterne Foods. Operating major processing hubs within our broadcast area, the company was a key supplier of processed meats to major national supermarket chains like Asda. Citing unsustainable production costs and intense post-winter supply chain blockages, joint administrators from Interpath Advisory have been called in to wind down operations, putting 140 workers face-to-face with sudden redundancy.
