Museum curators officially activated the interactive audio tour this morning. The trail guides visitors through historical exhibits, featuring real archived recordings of Dales residents sharing stories about traditional hill farming, butter making, and lead mining.
The project was developed in partnership with the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority to preserve regional dialects and oral heritage for future generations.
Visitors can access the tour via smartphone QR codes placed throughout the museum galleries or by borrowing accessible audio handsets at the front desk.
