The York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority launched the Community Energy Support Scheme today, Wednesday, October 7th, offering grants up to £25,000 to help rural community venues install solar panels, heat pumps, and insulation.
Metro Mayor David Skaith confirmed today that the funding is specifically tailored to assist rural community buildings in isolated Dales villages to lower long-term utility overheads.
Applications opened online this morning through the Combined Authority portal, with priority given to heritage venues and village halls operating as community warm spaces.
