Advanced Changing Places Fully Accessible Toilet Suite Opens for Tourists in Malham

Advanced Changing Places Fully Accessible Toilet Suite Opens for Tourists in Malham

13 July 2026

A major accessibility milestone has been met inside the National Park, as an advanced Changing Places specialist toilet facility swings open to the public in Malham

The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority has officially opened a brand-new, top-specification Changing Places toilet hub located directly at the Malham National Park Visitor Centre. The specialised facility introduces an array of advanced features, including a ceiling track hoist system, a height-adjustable adult-sized changing bench, a centrally placed toilet with adequate space for two carers, and a secure privacy screen. Park directors note that providing these high-tier clinical amenities ensures that families can plan full-day walking excursions out to Malham Cove and Gordale Scar without facing basic accessibility barriers.
