North Yorkshire Council has formally launched a statutory review of approximately 500 polling stations across the unitary authority to ensure all venues provide step-free access and modern facilities.
The review aims to assess village halls, community centres, and primary schools across Wensleydale, Swaledale, and Wharfedale ahead of upcoming municipal elections.
Parish councils and local voters have until October to submit suggestions regarding venue convenience and access.
