The Sedbergh Walking & Wellbeing (Wellness) Festival is a new week-long event taking place in and around Sedbergh, the Howgill Fells, and the Lune Valley from 14 to 20 September 2026. It combines guided walking activities with wellbeing-focused sessions, therapies, and evening talks.
What to expect
Daily guided walks ranging from gentle valley walks to more challenging fell routes.
Wellbeing activities and therapies, including treatments offered by local practitioners such as Dalesway Therapies.
Evening talks covering topics such as navigation, hill safety, and local conservation work.
Opportunities to reconnect with nature in the landscapes around the Howgills and Upper Lune Valley.

Cautley Spout & The Calf
Firbank Fell & River Lune (with an optional wild swim)

A Pennine Journey
A circular walk around Wild Boar Fell
Special feature
The festival is also linked to the launch of the Westmorland & Furness Way, a new 120‑mile long-distance trail running from Alston to Furness Abbey through some of northern England's most celebrated landscapes.
