Ripon’s Market Square will once again transform into a festive showcase of local talent as Ripon’s Magical Christmas Artisan Market returns for a three‑day celebration of makers, bakers, artists and craftspeople.
Running from Friday 20th November to Sunday 22nd November, the market brings together a vibrant mix of artisan stalls, seasonal entertainment and family‑friendly festive magic. This event, running for its second year, is set within a traditional Christmas market of wooden huts, creating a warm, atmospheric backdrop for festive shopping.
Visitors can expect cheeky elves, a magical Father Christmas, Halo LED doormen, Christmas trees on stilts and a traditional brass band adding sparkle throughout the weekend.
Delivered in partnership by Little Bird Made and Ripon BID, the event is designed to champion local creativity and offer residents and visitors a high‑quality Christmas shopping experience in the heart of the city.
A Perfect Pairing with the Ripon Cathedral Gift Fair
With the Ripon Cathedral Christmas Food & Gift Fair taking place on Friday and Saturday, visitors heading to the cathedral are warmly encouraged to make the short walk to the Market Square and enjoy the Artisan Market too. Together, the two events create a full festive weekend in Ripon—perfect for gift shopping, family outings and supporting local businesses.
