Painting workshop with Maxine Ahmed - 'Exploring Watercolours'

We are thrilled that Maxine has agreed to lead a workshop and share her approach to watercolours and the different stages of the process she uses to create landscapes.
Maxine predominantly paints in watercolour - a medium she loves because it reflects the organic nature of the subjects she chooses to paint. Living in the Yorkshire Dales, her passion is to capture the beautiful stunning landscapes, skies and flowers and the inhabitants who share their world with us. It is the perfect base from which to explore the diverse natural landscapes and the surrounding countryside.
"The Dales are a constant source of inspiration. I am constantly in awe of this fantastic, powerful landscape. I am always striving to capture just some of its majesty and beauty, never satisfied that I have done the subject justice, which is my drive to keep painting. One day I will capture that perfect moment in time that I felt whilst out walking."
The workshops are suitable for mixed abilities, whether you have a basic knowledge or you are an experienced practitioner.
All materials and equipment for the workshops are provided and included in the cost. You are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
