North Yorkshire Open Studios is an annual event enabling over 200 artists and makers to open their studios, meet, promote, and sell their work direct to the public over the first two weekends in June.
As part of North Yorkshire Open Studios this year Julie Edwardson is opening up her studio which is located at Yore Mill Gallery beside the Upper Falls at Aysgarth.
Working in both oils and acrylics, Julie responds to the post-industrial landscape of The Dales in her paintings; their beauty and the scars left by human interaction with the land.
Julie uses a combination of mixed media including collage to achieve texture and depth in the images.
