Thomas and Rod met on the local Pub Session circuit and it was their shared love of vocal
harmony, particularly that of The Everly Brothers and The Beatles, that brought them together.
They have since built up a repertoire spanning the decades from then right up to the present day.
Rod Baxter
While based in London, Rod gigged extensively across the southern counties of the UK, as well
as in France, Australia and on Cruise Ships. He later studied Composing for Film at
Westminster College, finally retiring to his native North Yorkshire in 2000.
Since then, he has been a regular contributor to the Wensleydale Tournament of Song in
numerous classes, the 10-piece Rick Dickerlous and The Outrage being of particular note.
He has composed music for the Worcestershire County Youth Orchestra and the Derby Arts
Council Summer Dance school.
A vocalist, guitarist, pianist, composer/songwriter, he continues to write and record.
Thomas Linckh
Thomas graduated from the Joe Haider Jazz School in Munich and taught in a private music
school for 7 years. He played with the Rene Walden Big Band and also played in the Podium
Jazz Club in Munich with his own band the Trouble Boys before moving to the UK.
He has played and recorded with numerous local musicians, one of his tracks ‘Cardigan Bay’
getting airtime on local radio.
He has always enthusiastically supported and promoted the local
music scene, encouraging the Keep Music Live ethos.
He is a vocalist, guitarist and songwriter.
