The Wharfedale Three Peaks Challenge Event includes three routes ranging from 17 to 4.5 miles starting from the picturesque village of Kettlewell in the Yorkshire Dales. This event is hosted by the local mountain rescue team - Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association - as their annual fundraising event.
Taking place in the beautiful Wharfedale valley this friendly charity event offers competitors of all ages a suitable challenge. All proceeds from the event go to supporting the operational costs of running the rescue team.
There are three courses to choose from; all starting and ending in Kettlewell village.
1. Three Peaks route – 17 miles / 3800ft – Firth Fell, Buckden Pike and Great Whernside.
2. Two Peaks route – 13 miles / 2500ft – Buckden Pike and Great Whernside
3. Family Walk – 4.5 miles / 300ft
